Connecting kids who NEED help
with people who CAN help

Be KIND - Make a
cake for a kid in need

If you enjoy baking cakes, want to give back to your community and would like to help make a child smile on their birthday we would love to hear from you!

Our volunteers don’t need to have a registered kitchen or business (although we definitely welcome them also!), just a passion for baking. To become a volunteer you need to be over 16 years old. If you have a child who is keen to get involved, you can nominate them as a helper.

NOMINATE A
KID FOR A CAKE

Here at Kindness4Kids we believe every child should feel special on their birthday regardless of their circumstances. For some families a birthday cake is a luxury they can’t afford or just don’t have access to, and we want to take that stress away. Our aim is to connect bakers on the Sunshine Coast with families in need.

We help children who are aged between 1 and 16 and;
– Are living in homeless shelters –
– Are living in shelters due to domestic violence –
– Are sick and in hospital for their birthday –
– Have a family who are struggling financially –
– OR anyone who thinks that this particular kid is doing it tough & needs something to cheer them up –

If you know of a child who needs a smile on their birthday, please register their details below and we will get in touch with you very shortly.

ABOUT
KINDNESS4KIDS

Gabby Desch was born in 2009 & was only 9 years old when she came up with the concept of Kindness4Kids. She recognised that while she is lucky to have grown up in a supportive family environment, many other children aren’t as lucky. Initially she (along with help from friends and family) baked and decorated cakes for underprivileged or sick children on the Sunshine Coast. Now she wants to expand the service and create a network of bakers to help Sunny Coast kids. Imagine the smiles on the faces of those kids (and of course parents & caregivers)!
